Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! to all my American friends.
And to everyone on my flist, I am thankful for you for all the fun, laughs, and support you give me. Thanks for playing along!
I'm spending the day at my cousin Jennifer's with my dad's family. (It is a HUGE family. Catholics--bah!) My mother made pumpkin pies, and I made an apple one. Erin (future sister-in-law) is making stuffing.
What is everyone else doing? What sort of yummy goodies are you making/looking forward to?

Date: 2010-11-25 05:07 pm (UTC)I'm spending my morning making pretzel bread and hunting down sage and rosemary, since that somehow got left off the list of Things We Need for Thanksgiving Turkey. Then I'm having dinner at my friend's place downtown, where I will attempt to make a key lime pie from scratch.

Date: 2010-11-25 05:33 pm (UTC)I wonder what it would be like to spend a holiday exclusively in the company of people I like, rather than a mixture of people I love and people I tolerate for the sake of the people I love...
Enjoy your Turkey Day!

Date: 2010-11-26 04:43 am (UTC)I haven't had a Thanksgiving with family for something like seven or eight years (I really can't believe it's been that long, omg). This is still one of only two years I haven't been holding my nose and just tolerating some people, though, even among friends (friends-of-friends aren't always the best holiday dinner companions. (-;) It's nice, but my family always did just-us Thanksgivings with the last of the things we took out of the garden, so I miss it like crazy.
Hope your Turkey Day was a fun one. ^_^

Ain't that the truth! There's one particular friend-of-a-friend in my circle who just recently moved out of state. All I can say is: SEE YA!
Is it too big of a trip to get home for Thanksgiving?
My day was nice! I still can't taste food properly, so that was a bummer, but it was nice to see my family, and no one got plastered and started an argument this year, so: bonus!
