Holy shit, I totally thought I was hearing voices until I realized that, though I'd reached the end of one album and hadn't yet started another, I had a window open on my browser with an ad that was playing and...yeah, I was hearing voices. But EXTERNAL voices, so...yeah, good to know! :P

You know what I love? CLEARANCE SALES!♥ I picked up a whole pile of crap at Borders for about six bucks, and it was awesome! Nothing like paying a dollar for a "Cats in Hats" calendar to make you feel like a million bucks! (Could've done without the alternately chipper/snotty attitude of the cashier, though. Don't look at me like I'm scum because I don't want to buy your crappy coffee so you can donate approximately 1% of the money to soldiers overseas, and I'm sorry, but the pointed way you thanked everyone before me "for their business" and then announced my total came to "just" $5.87 and you got all pissy about giving me a bag...*deep breath* Yeah, that shit's not getting your ass out of Chapter 11.)

(Sorry. Apparently I am In A Mood. Perhaps it's time for a drink. Hey, it's Friday somewhere...TGIF!)

I do that more than is fully reasonable, so… well, I'd say you're in good company, but I'd misplace my personality if it wasn't so obnoxiously persistent. XD

CLEARANCE SALES~ Although I'm kind of sad about Borders going away, primarily because they're the only bookstore I can actually walk to. And because they were a really nice place to bum around between meals downtown…

As a cashier at a bookstore, I could say a lot of things in that individual's defense, but I'm not going to, because that kind of passive-aggressiveness is not justified unless the customer personally treated you like shit first. :|

I love Borders SO much! I have fond memories of them, too: I used to walk up to our Borders when I was a kid, and as a teenager my friends and I would hang out there on Saturday nights. (It's just as fun as partying and making out with boys, right?!)

However, I don't think I'm the kind of customer that will keep them in business, since I only occasionally stop by to pick through the bargain books!
