TIME--where does it go, eh?

My little brother is getting married in LESS THAN A WEEK! With finishing school and the holidays, the event has just sorta creeped up on me.

Wedding to dos:
♥ Mani/pedi. (Whoever this task falls to will have their work cut out for them!)
♥ Purchase stockings to wear.
♥ Make an appointment to have my hair done. (The bride is doing her own hair! Don't I feel precious???)
♥ Make a wedding present. I'm thinking of fancying-up some photos of them and putting them into frames.
♥ Decide if I want to write them a poem/give a wedding toast. I don't have to, since I'm not the Maid of Honor, but...I dunno how self-conscious I'll feel on the day, and if my mom gets wind of the idea, not only will she make SO NERVOUS about it I spend the entire day dreading it, but she'll also make it impossible to back out at the last minute. Ugh.

General to dos:

* Job hunting, job hunting, job hunting. (Despite not knowing where to begin!)
* Finish my laundry/make more laundry detergent.
* Write my Baubles to It entry for pulped_fictions.
* MAKE AN EFFORT to call and catch up with friends, see how their holidays went.

Oh, 2011...you're gonna be a pain in the ass, aren't you?

OMG, wedding polanning sounds like fun. Are you in the actual wedding?

I am in the actual wedding! I am part of the fleet of bridesmaids! I do believe there are 8 of us, plus a flower girl. I'd like us all to carry batons and whistle the opening number from West Side Story, but somehow I think my fantasies are going to be disappointed.

I haven't started either! I'm just so relieved to be done with all the fic competitions/exchanges I committed myself to for December, I can barely bring myself to open up a Word document!

Believe it or not, I still have an exchange gift fic I have not even started yet. The deadline is approaching fast, and I totally don't have any motivation. *sigh*

So your bridesmaid's dress is awesome? Matching shoes all done and stuff?

Here is a picture of my bridesmaid's dress. I like it a lot, and the color looks very nice on me. The bride requested we all wear silver shoes, and I found a pair that I like quite a bit on clearance sale at Payless for 6 bucks! I also got a little silver clutch purse to carry around. The only thing I really need is some sort of shawl to wear over it if I get cold.

What sort of exchange is it for? Fandom or otherwise? (You could always bug your flist for ideas! I did that, and alt_universe_me helped me flesh out an idea for my recipient.)
