I wondered why Canadians don't get stickers, then I imagined the kerfluffle it would cause in the House of Commons over misuse of taxpayer's money, and told my brain to shut up.
I was SO RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED that I turned 18 in a presidential election year (2000)! I was all, "I get to vote for president in my very first election when I'm 18!"
It's incredibly sad, but it's not like the democrats did a GODDAMN THING when they had the majority! (I'm still upset that they failed to capitalize on their majority in 2006! I AM OVER YOU, DEMOCRATS!)
Ok, that's enough from me. At least they keep the Senate?
I think the reason for failing to capitalize on the majority was that they were so focused on Bush flailing in the WH that they wouldn't have to work that hard. Which is yeah, stupid.
I myself am a moderate. My biggest concern is watching the democrats have such small representation in the House. Supposedly this year will mark the fewest in over 60 years. In terms of the voice of the House, it will be interesting to see what happens.
In other news, CO is blue, who knew? (thank god no tea party) They're mostly a red state in terms or Reps. though.
