God, I love Edna St. Vincent Millay. (Probably should have used that post title for, ya know: April. May as well do it now while I remember!)

At some point during the week, I do believe I spilled noodle broth on the sleeve of my sweatshirt: it smells like rice vinegar and soy sauce.

Boss to me, about why he keeps cramming students into the same over-filled time slots: "Everybody just wants those times! I gotta hire somebody else to help you out..." Yeah. But since we both know you won't, how about paying me double for doing the work of two people?

I need new recipes. Has anyone cooked anything exciting lately? ([livejournal.com profile] roh_wyn has me intrigued with her new culinary concoction: Mac-N-Channa.)

I actually saw a movie this weekend! The Adjustment Bureau! It was...meh. But it has given me a huge crush on Emily Blunt and made me want to attend a contemporary ballet performance.

I have plants growing in the basement! It's so very exciting. Already, the pumpkins are sprouting foliage leaves above the cotyledons.

What's got everyone else excited these days?

Hey there... I finally logged on to answer your other comment, but then I saw your post right at the top of my flist, so maybe I should just reply here. (It was the "Edna St. Vincent Millay" that caught my eye. ♥)

Re: movie dept. Is there anything good out? SO and I were locked out of our bookstore other night, he suggested we go see a movie. All the titles looked craptastic. I never figured out what Adjustment Bureau was about, but with a title like that I wasn't banking on anything very snappy.

What's got everyone else excited these days?

Spring Break, Day 1. I exercised, cleaned, went on leisurely walks, and DID NOT HURRY today.

I have a mountain of paperwork to get through, and then some freelance work afterward which will require both thinking and research. Once I start it, I know it will be fine, but it's the lead up to it makes me anxious. And somehow I completely forgot hubby is going to be gone for two weeks at the end of the month. So, a little grim.

But I did have a very nice Spring Break in Florida, and yesterday we found crocuses sprouting, so yay! SPRING! I need to find some happy spring icons.

If this was me (and if I'd had noodle broth, it would be, because I spill on myself approximately once a day), I'd spend most of my time with my sleeve next to my face, contemplating the aroma. As it is all I have is a jacket with at least eighteen separate toothpaste stains. XD

BOSS. SERIOUSLY. IT'S PRETTY SIMPLE MATH, OMFG. >(

I think I could ruin a Pop Tart, so…

Yay plants! :D It's def time for green things.

It didn't suck, I don't think: at least the other people I went with seemed to enjoy it. My big problem was that I was more interested in the sci-fi elements, and the movie focused more on the human element. (Which was good! I just never buy the whole "meant to be together" plot device.)

Fringe, eh? This show has been recommended to me. Perhaps once it's been off the air for 5-10 years, I'll get into it. *points to icon*

Ooh, freelance! It sounds so glamourous. (Shh, I know it isn't! Leave me my illusions...)

Good luck on your project, your paperwork, and on flying solo sans hubby!

Spring break! Woo! Glad it was nice. One of these years, I'm gonna take a proper spring break. *nods*

I'm jealous of your crocus-spotting! I saw some shoots coming up the other day, but they'd already been damaged by frost. It'll be another couple weeks until we have blooms!

(P.S.--I might be inspired to make some happy spring icons. So...watch out for that! :P)

I'd spend most of my time with my sleeve next to my face, contemplating the aroma.

That...is exactly what I was doing. Why I felt compelled to share the fact in a journal entry, I have no idea! (I'm a bit of a weirdo about smelling things. I know it's a tic due to the OCD, but it's hard to explain to people I'm not just a weirdo into sniffing things. I mean, I am, but: yeah. :P)

*sigh* My boss! God love him. Man's losing it, quite frankly: I have to follow around after him, reminding him where he put things and telling him what people's names are.

And since I have several messages from you to respond to, why not answer them all here? :P

How goes the play?

Re: movie dept. Is there anything good out?

I have good things about Sucker Punch, which I am desperate to see. I've also heard bad things about Red Riding Hood, but I don't care, I still want to see it! *stamps foot* It's my favorite fairy tale.

The Adjustment Bureau is about a secret group of dudes in hats who manipulate humanity along some divine path. Like I said...meh!

omg! I'm not the only one! \o/ …who smells things but swears I'm not a weirdo, I mean, uh… I'm going to quit while I'm behind… NOW.

I think I need to hire someone like you to follow ME around.

Twelfth Night is looking pretty shiny – we did a part run of each half last week, and they both went pretty well. :D We're starting in on Macbeth this weekend, so I'm excited to see how that goes. ^^
