Ok, so if anyone could point me toward lovely, artistic-ish photos of two women kissing, the subtext of which is not, "Hey fellas, get a load of this!", I would be much obliged. Thank you.

I am no good at finding stuff like this. I wish there were more good pictures of lesbians that weren't "omglezzies!!" and clearly aimed at males. Of course, I wish the exploitation of female sexuality would end in general. I want to be able to announce that I'm bi without guys getting weird ideas about it, and I want people to be able to love who they love without being mocked or gawked at.

First: you should check out both the Tumblr sites that ladybracknell recommended! The first one (sex is not the enemy) is very much NSFW, and the second is pretty much...just kissing. Does what it says on the tin. ;) They both provide awesome, sex-positive visuals that are more "Yay sex is fun!" rather than "Grr, sex is demeaning and exploitative!"

Yeah, typing "lesbians kissing" and even "women kissing" into Google image search was giving me a sad. :( But, remember this: things are getting better. It seems sometimes like one step forward, two steps back, but that just means we have to keep pushing! *shoves*

I checked them out and have spent the past several hours in happy exploration of fascinating sex-positive and queer-positive articles all over the internet. Hooray!

It does feel like one hell of an uphill battle. Still, things are better, and I've seen myself how surprisingly positive people can be.

Truth. I spent 2 days working on mine and now have only my boyfriend's left to make (but he deserves an extra-special animated .gif because he's wonderful). I even made one for you! I can't wait for everyone to see them :D
