apple_pathways: Whatever floats your boat! (He's Mister Cool)

First and foremost, I owe people some prezzies for pimping [livejournal.com profile] concrit_anon! ([livejournal.com profile] jacknjill270, your drabble is forthcoming!)

N/B: all of the images for these icons come from Flickr, from user who chose to license their work for adaptation/alteration by others.

[livejournal.com profile] alias_amy asked for "writerly icons". Here's a few to choose from:

(I was more enamoured of that one quote when I first chose it. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty that the tongue is the "tongue of the mind"...)

Miss [livejournal.com profile] lemniciate gave me the prompt of "time" and asked that I surprise her. If you wanted a drabble, I apologize! Writerly inspiration is scarce these days. Instead, I made you iconses!

After first downloading GIMP, I experimented with making icons from photos by Irina Ionesco. As with all my stuff, these vary highly in quality! But do have a look, tell me what you think, and if you'd like one, snag away!

And now, because I can't get it out of my head, you're all going to be subjected to the dream I had last night.

So I had a baby with Arthur Darvill (Rory from Doctor Who). AWESOME, right? He sort of disappeared from the dream after that, though, so--less awesome. Anyway, I was very happy to have this baby--I love kids, and I've always wanted to have one of my own. Problem is, I kept...misplacing it. The baby, I mean. Like: leaving it on the couch, and coming back to find that it had fallen down between the cushions.

And then it wasn't a baby anymore, it was a kitten. Still, I tried to be the best damn mom I could be to that kitten! ...until I lost it again.

Then there was another dream that was kinda epic in scale and about goblin society, and I remember thinking: "this would make an AWESOME novel", but now I can't remember any of the details. I COULD HAVE BEEN THE NEXT J.K. ROWLING, YO! This is what I get for scoffing at the idea of a dream journal.
