Day Two: Nine things about yourself.

- I like to talk about myself. (Hence this meme.)
- I have had just about every hair color that could be considered "natural" (blonde, light brown, dark brown, nearly black, strawberry blonde, auburn, etc.) and several that are distinctly "unnatural" (purple, burgundy, fire engine red, green, etc.)
- I used to have quite a few piercings--eyebrow, nose, and several cartilage piercings in my ear. Now I just have three holes in my earlobe. I want to pierce my nose again.
- I listen to most music genres, including country. (I ♥ bluegrass!) I can't stand "pop country", however.
- In my life, I've made out with 6 gay men. I don't know what to do with this fact. (Hold on! I forgot that "Chris the bisexual" is now "Chris the homosexual", so make that 7.)
- I am not afraid of death, spiders, or public speaking. I am, however, creeped out by puppets and people in giant animal costumes. (You will NEVER find a picture of me hugging Mickey Mouse.)
- I once considered dumping a guy because he wasn't a registered voter.
- I was on the Quiz Bowl team in high school, and treasurer of the Creative Writing Club. I refused to join the National Honors Society.
- I once ran a smoking cessation group for people with severe psychotic disorders.

It's not so much a fear as a general dislike--and now that I think about it, it's not specific to animal costumes, though I do have a weird anthropomorphized animals squick. (Issues? I HAS THEM!)
I don't like people in those costumes because I can't see who they are. At a theme park, other people see their favorite characters walking around and waiting for a hug; I see strangers with obscured faces. I wouldn't hug a random dude on the street, so why would a giant animal head change that?
