This week's theme: Happy-Making Music! Songs that put a smile on your face, make you bounce up and down, and generally elevate your mood with an efficiency equivalent to chocolate and/or booze.
I don't know if this my ALL-TIME TOP FIVE, but each one of these songs makes me ridiculously happy!
1. Two Door Cinema Club, "Something Good Can Work"
Let's make this happen, girl, you gonna show the world that something good can work and it can work for yooouuuuu...
2. Wilco, "What Light"
If you feel like singing a song, and you want other people to sing along, just sing what you feeel, don't let anybody say it's wrong.
3. Florence + The Machine - "Shake it Out"
and it's hard to dance with the devil on your back, so shake him off...
4. They Might Be Giants - "Birdhouse In Your Soul"
Not to put too fine a point on it, say I'm the only bee in your bonnet. Build a little birdhouse in your soul!
5. Jimmy Eat World - "The Middle"
It just takes some time, little girl, you're in the middle of the ride. Everything, everything will be just fine.
