Though one of the colleges in my town recently broke the record for the most people licking ice cream at one time.
Why do these records exist?! Every once in awhile you see these people in newspapers or on small, obscure news programs who "Set a NEW WORLD RECORD for X!", and it's something like: "Biggest mound of used tissues" or "Longest time singing Lady Gaga on a Pogo stick". Very often, it's their own record they're breaking, if they're not just creating a new 'record' for the hell of it.
World's Largest Pillow Fight and World's Largest Lip Synch are at least a little bit interesting to watch...

Anyway. Will check out those stories! In the meantime, I have to run off to work. :P
