Wow. This is fantastic. I love how you kept the identity of the child a mystery at first. I had no idea it was going to be Molly and was actually expecting it to be Jim.
I'm also going to second what rachel2205 said about the dreamy-but-horrible atmosphere - it feels like a very pretty nightmare, with Molly's emotional detachment and acceptance of who Jim really is. This gives her character a whole new depth, and it's awesome. :)
