I am trying not to be all grumpy face today. Here's what's going on:

My dad has retired! It's crazy. 39 years, yo. His last day was Monday, and he has already managed to tear half of the house apart. :/

I am still bummed that I can't go see the Decemberists. :( A friend texted me to say, "I just heard the Decemberists and I love them!" (I had invited her to go see them when I bought the tickets, but she had never heard of them!) So I called and asked her if she wanted my ticket to go with our other friends, and she's going to buy it from me. NOW I AM EXTRA BUMMED, because now it's gonna be even more fun with even more friends! /tantrum

I'm trying to arrange Birthday Bowling Fun for my BFF, and our other friends are being irritating. One friend I have texted, called, and emailed and have yet to hear from. (I'd worry that she was dead if this weren't more or less typical for her.) The BFF's housemate I left a message on Facebook and tried to call, but couldn't get ahold of. I had Becca ask her in person, and she gave a non-committal answer: "Oh, I'll see if (her boyfriend) is free that night."

Two other friends can't make it (out of town and other plans) and I've only got a confirmed answer from one friend and her husband. PLEASE let people show up tomorrow night! :/
